Yeah, I spoke to the reps for a lot of the unis you mentioned Thursday last week and most (if not all) said that they focus mainly on A-level grades/predicted. If you have the right predicted grades for the course they'll almost always consider you so you do have a chance yes.
They do also focus a bit on GCSE grades but your grades aren't inherently bad; mine are worse actually lol.
Just make sure your personal statement is as loaded as it can be and your ucas application is filled as much as it can be, good luck!!

Chem Eng is not mega-competitive, and therefore its likely that most of these Unis will look only at any essential GCSEs (typically English and Maths) and if you have AS Maths that trumps the GCSE. "How much weight do you place on GCSEs?" is the sort of question to ask at Uni Open Days.

All of these unis hardly look at GCSEs.

I got 9766666655 and achieved A*A*A (chem, geog, bio) and an A* in my epq (talking about academic comebacks) and self taught myself a level maths (predicted A*).

Out of those I got offers from Imperial and Bath (UCL rejected me (for no reason)).

So don’t worry. Ucl is **** anyways (imperial >>>>)

@hahahatree12 !

Your predicted grades are very strong indeed!

As for University of Nottingham especifically, an AAA is required for being admitted in the Chemical Eng. MEng course. In the majority of scenarios, if the applicant meets the conditions stated in the offer the place to study at University of Nottingham is automatically granted.

Feel free to ask us more questions!

All the best,
Abián
