To Plead or Not to Plead? - Missing Cambridge Offer

Hello!
I am an IB student and unfortunately missed my Cambridge conditional offer (43, HL 777) by one overall mark (42, HL 777).
I have already asked my counselor to send my detailed results and my decision to re-mark (as for one of the subjects, I am very close to the grade boundary) to the admission team as instructed by the College.
May I ask if I should send an additional email pleading to the admission team / the Director of Studies (met twice during interviews) that they let me in despite (currently) missing the conditional offer, to show my dedication? Or will that leave a bad impression and lower my chances of getting in? (As I saw on the official website that candidates should not 'call us [them] for updates on your application').
Thank you!

Do not beg, but do ask. With 777 you have a fair chance.

As Cambridge have made it clear that you should not contact them, I don't think you should. They will make a decision in August once A-level results are released to them, but as you have missed it by the slimmest possible margin, I think that you have a good chance of being accepted anyway, by either your offering college or another college via the summer pool. Of course if the re-mark is successful, you are then guaranteed a place.
You've already done all the necessary steps, calling to grovel will not make any difference.

I wish you well with the re-mark.

Don’t contact them - they make it clear that
you should not. They have a process for considering all candidates who miss an offer and they will follow that. You getting in touch will not make it more likely that they take you.

DO NOT contact them - it really won't impress.

They won't decide until A level results day.
