Postgraduate nursing bursary

Hi, I'm meant to start a masters in MH Nursing - 2 years and have a commissioned place. Does anyone know if you get student finance automatically? Or do I have to register for it? I went onto NHS bursary but they couldn't find the course.

Hi there,

It's maybe worth calling Student Finance directly, also check out the website below:

Can you give the full name of the course and the uni? Where do you normally live outside of uni (healthcare courses are funded differently in England, Scotland, Wales and NI)?

Hi I’m applying for a mental health nursing masters MSc at Bangor university. What student finance would I receive and would I be eligible for any bursaries? Just for clarification, I normally live in England and would only be in Wales when studying.

The following thread explains how funding differs by nation. As a general rule of thumb, it doesn't usually make financial sense for students from England to study a healthcare course in Wales. I'm assuming you are talking about a pre-registration masters?

This is the course I want to apply for:

I’m already studying in Bangor which is the reason I want to stay on for my masters. To get the full tuition loan and maintenance loan from student finance i’m assuming i’d have to opt out of NHS wales bursary. And because it’s a welsh university I wouldn’t receive any NHS bursaries?
