SFE are saying my NI number is invalid...it's not!

So 2 weeks ago, I received a letter from SFE saying that my NI number is 'invalid' according to DWP (Department of Work and Pensions). Shortly after, I spoke to a live advisor from HMRC who said the NI number is correct. I sent them a letter back which will arrive later this week, confirming that the NI number I have given them is correct and even provided them with verified documentation from HMRC.
I spoke to a live advisor today from SFE who said that they will follow instructions given to them by DWP and now I'm really stressed because the info is all correct and there are so many uncertainties now.
i have an unconditional offer set for september and this is just rlly stressful. all my previous processes went smoothly

Hi sz272727,

It would be best to start a live chat on your account so that an adviser can look into that for you.

Hey Clare,
I did talk to a live advisor yesterday but she said they can only follow instructions from DWP. I assured her that the NI number given to her was correct and that evidence would arrive by Wednesday so I am waiting until then. This is a very stressful situation for me.

Hi sz272727,

I appreciate what you are saying however, we cannot check your account to look into this for you. You would need to contact again if you are unsure about the advice that was provided to you.

Thanks, Clare
