Vet work experience needed for uni!!!

Hi i'm writing this in student room wondering if anyone else is in my same situation. I've got a spot in Middlesex University to do Veterinary Nursing and a requirement for the course is having at least a months worth of experience, however i've had no luck at all! is this going to ruin my chances of going to uni? is anyone else in my same situation? help 😢🫤

hey! I'm unfamiliar with the application process for vet nursing at Middlesex but I am quite familiar with the struggle of finding work experience. I am applying for vet med this October and have done work experience at 2 different vet clinics, along with some non-clinical placements. The best advice I can give is to keep emailing, calling, go in person if you have to, you can also send your CV through email or simply write briefly about your passion for pursuing a career in the veterinary field.
Keep contacting as many places as you can, don't give up!

Hi, I jsut want to clarify have you got an offer at the university that’s depenendant on work experience you don’t have? Is there specific work experience requirements? Are you in the Middlesex area?? I’m a current vet student and I’m happy to look at our database for you if you can give me some more information

Type up a letter but physically take it into places rather than email and even call back to chase it up if you don’t hear. Animals rescues are a good place to get work experience as they are usually desperate for help.

Hi, I am happy to look can you narrow the area down slightly (obviously don't want your address). Maybe like a significant thing in your area so i can narrow down the area. When i just looked generally I had like over 100 things come up!
