Help please

Hi,
I just finished doing my bio, chem, business a levels and was thinking of going into med so am doing ucat on the 12th August.. a few days before a level results day. If my ucat score isn’t high enough/I get something like ABB on results day I’m thinking of going into pharmacy. My last year UCAT score was pretty bad since I had focused more on my school mocks around the same time so I didn’t get any med offers (I had AAA predicted). On results day if my grades are high enough, and this UCAT goes well could I potentially get a place in a uni by calling in if they’re on clearing? Also if I decide on going into pharmacy instead is there a way for me to go to uni this year instead of taking a gap year? I’m a little confused with this ucas stuff 😭 I’ve heard of ucas clearing and ucas extra but how can I get into a pharmacy course I want on results day or is gap year the best way?

There will be very few if any Med courses in clearing and last year not many Pharmacy courses either. All you can do is check on results day who has places and ring up universities to see if they will accept you

So do I go to ucas clearing to check if there are pharmacy/med courses in clearing? If I do ucat before results day and get a good score would unis in clearing accept that?
