Can a University see my application even if it hasn't been sent to UCAS yet?

Hello!

I am currently applying to University through clearing for 2024 entry to a Chemistry course with a Foundation Year.

My application is complete on my end and has been since June 30th, I am just waiting for a reference.

I have been in contact with the Admissions Administrators at the main University I am looking at and was told by one of them that they are unable to find my application with my UCAS ID.

I am currently still waiting on my college for a reference. The advisor at my college said she had emailed my lecturers and if she gets no response by Monday (yesterday) she will give a generic reference for me herself.

This morning I sent an email to her asking for an update.

I had already contacted the college back in March to let them know I was applying for University and would need a reference. At the time she told me I should let her know once I have submitted my application and then she will chase up one of my lecturers.

My question is basically if the University will be able to see my application, even though it is still with my college?

I suppose I was also using this as an outlet because University application thus far has been a very stressful experience.

I am sure part of this is my fault for not getting in contact with my college sooner, and I probably should have contacted my lecturers directly.
No, the uni can't see anything until it's submitted via UCAS.

Until you have paid and submitted your application to UCAS, it cannot be sent on to the Universities you have applied to.
