Degree Apprenticeships Interview Tips

I'm looking to do the Amazon Degree Apprenticeship as a Solutions Architect beginning in 2025 as my interviews for this year were cancelled. What is the best piece of advice for passing the virtual and in-person interviews for Tech degree apprenticeships, more so on the technical side of things; do I need to know the theory behind stuff?

For the Amazon interviews, there is more a focus on your motivations and skills, rather than any technical knowledge. So it's important to level up your interview skill and confidence, as well as having answers to the common questions they will ask.

There are generally three types of questions:

General questions - e.g. why do you want to work here? what are your strengths? what are your weaknesses? why do you want to do a degree apprenticeship? what do you expect to be the biggest challenge?

STAR questions - e.g. tell me about a time when you worked as a team? tell me about a time when you were a leader? tell me about a time when you solved a problem?

Scenario based questions - e.g. what would you do if you had to work with a difficult colleague?

I helped some people get Amazon offers last year so if you want, I'm happy to send over some resources which will help you get into Amazon next year. Just let me know if you want those, and I can send them over
