Northumbria university academic reference

Hi,

My questions is how frequently is appropiate to email my personal tutor for an academic reference of "i studied x course here for 3 years"

I did email the support team and they said to try asking my personal tutor, module lead, any supervisors or any other groups/societies I may have joined. I have emailed my personal tutor (twice) and module lead but neither replied. I don't feel comfortable emailing my project supervisor from this year as she has already done so much. I did not join any groups/societies. Im overly aware of the fact I wont have access to any support in less than 7 months, and they probably wont ever reply to me.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you've not had a response yet. Different academics may have different response times and, during the summer period, this can take longer. We'd recommend keeping in touch with them.

Please also be reassured that, after graduation, you will still have full access to the support by our Graduate Futures team which could include keeping you in touch with relevant staff. The team there will be able to support you for up to 5 years - simply make sure you're signed up to the Graduate Careers Club.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can help with anything else,

Beth

Hiya, I hope you're well,

There's a chance they didn't see your previous messages and they slipped through the cracks so it's worth following up on, and maybe try ccing in some other academics who may be able to help. I would also suggest making sure that the subject line is clear what the message is about if you haven't already.
However, a lot of academics are on leave in the summer months so you may be more likely to get a reply when September comes around.

I hope you hear back from them soon,

Beth,
