Hi, yeah u can include it. When u write about it, just craft it so that it shows the skills you’ve developed that would be useful in Optometry.

Yeah
I read a book about neurosurgery (when I was still deciding which healthcare related course I wanted to do) and wrote a little bit about that.
Just focus on things that u link to optometry so things like communication, soft skills, teamwork, patient centred care all of that kinda stuff

All the best 😊

It was good, interesting. Love the practicals, sitting in lectures can be boring lol, they’re not compulsory but I choose to sit in them anyway lol.

Hi, I'm just wondering how many people are in your cohort?

Is there a demand of Optometrist in the UK?

Thanks

Write anything unique in your personal statement. Even if you went on a barista course, as previous comments in this thread suggest - make it relatable

I would emphasise how this was done in your spare time, rather than being a lazy piece of .. at home

It was something that helped with your artistic approach to things

Helped with your creativity and discipline, ensuring the correct instructions were followed

Bla bla bla, make anything you want stand out, make it relevant and make it help you look like you have a personality

I'm can only apply as a 5th option because of medicine so it's going to be manchester, Aston or cardiff- I've no idea which one to choose, any advice on which ones better?
