Why?

I'm having a mix of career aspirations, I'm thinking of doing English lit, Spanish, film studies, chemistry and biology. English, Spanish and film studies come really easy for me as I can write essays for days and I'm really good at Spanish. However I was thinking of doing vet med so if I change my mind about law, I can drop film studies and Spanish

Its totally and utterly pointless doing 'extra' A levels.

No Uni requires more than 3 subjects, and any others will just be ignored.
They do not think 'oooo clever' or give you any extra brownie points.

For Vet, you need Chem, Bio and one other subject at AAA or above.
You can study Spanish as an extra-curricula subject at most Unis.

Remember, AAA will always look better than ABBB - and that could cost you a Uni place.

My main objective wasn't to make myself look good Infront of unis, far from my point. I don't really know what is want to do as a career but ik I'm very good at essays and languages. When it comes to the end of yr 12 and beginning of yr 13, I will drop 2 subjects

And have your school agreed to this.

The main things to consider are whether you have the interest and dedication in each subject to pursue it for two years. A-level study is significantly harder than at GCSE and what may have been a breeze back then is unlikely to be now, being much more demanding on time and effort. I'm not against doing 4 A-levels as a rule but it really depends on your individual capabalities and academic diligence in determining whether you will succeed in them.

Ik that there is a big jump between GCSE and a level which I'm prepared for. From time to time I'm going to skim through a level content to prepare myself

Theres no point doing 5. Unis wont care about the other 2 so just do 3 and get the best grades you can in them so you don’t waste your time and give yourself more depression from being a year 13 student.

Why are you doing 4 A levels?

Basically I’m doing Maths, Further Maths, Latin and Economics. And btw, I want to study accounting and finance at university. And I’m doing Ancient Greek for fun for AS level, if I can’t manage it then I’ll do a GCSE or just like language certification. And I’m wondering if I should do EPQ? Many people say it’s useful, especially useful when I write my personal statement because then I’ll have sth to write about. But idk…

I’m doing 4 A levels because I think Maths, FM and Economics are useful for studying A&F at university, but I’m also quite interested in Latin, so I’ve decided to study 4, am I’m still deciding on whether to study EPQ as well, would that be too much workload?? Could I start EPQ during the summer before Yr12?

3 A levels with FM as an extra is manageable.
You may be able to manage an EPQ or an extra AS - but probably not both.
As I have outlined above, you risk messing up all of your grades by taking on too much, and Unis are never impressed by this.

Thanks for your advice, do u think I should do EPQ? Or should I do Ancient Greek AS instead?? I don’t know which is more beneficial

Id say maybe do an EPQ as these are valued for showing research skills by unis, doing an as level isn’t usually counted unless its further maths from what i know and its not relevant to your degree so I was in your position I would probably be doing an EPQ.
