Worth studying Web Design?

Hello guys

I am currently planning on possibly going to Manchester Met and studying Web and User Experience Design BSc.

However I have some doubts around this due to;

Web Design can be self learnt
Web Design jobs sometimes don't require a degree
Web Design jobs may not be needed as much in future due to AI
Studying a degree in just one subject rather than a more rounded degree like computer science may result in less opportunities in the future

I think for myself, the main reason as to why I would like to attain a degree in this is for employability but most importantly, to make it easier to work and live abroad from the UK. However I'm wondering if this is really worth it?

Any advice? Has anyone got a degree in Web Design and have they regretted this

Thanks

My advice, it's not worth it.

You have listed the reasons and you can do your own self taught projects.

A degree in computer science, computing and IT is far better and employable with many options.
