Intermittant on course student loan

Hi , I am year 1 student I didn’t pass 1 module so could not go on placement so the uni intermittent me I have been into uni for lessons needed and resits , however I have just had letter from student finance to say I owe them money because I have suspended my course unaware of this I thought I was intermittent is this the same thing will I have to pay this back ?
Could anyone advise many thanks

Hi there,

For us to update your application to suspended this information would have came from the university. If the suspension was correct and you were overpaid then it would need to be paid back. We can deduct it from your future funding.
