BTEC Qualification

hey guys, i have a question about my BTEC qualification. i did btec level 2 first certificate in business last year alongside english and maths gcses. i came to the country when i was a bit mature so i straight away went to my sixth form that only had these two gcses

i’m applying to the unis through clearing rn and the uni i wanna go to is asking for 5 gcse passes including english and maths, and i’m a bit confused about this part as i have just two of them. i’ve read that a btec level 2 is equivalent to four gcses, so i guess i might be fine? do unis usually accept btec certificates as a gcse equivalent? has anyone had this experience before? thank you!

That would depend on the individual university and what they would accept

Some do, some don't

The best place to check is the GCSE (or equivalent) section of your chosen degree's entry requirements. If you are not sure, contact the subject's department and look for the person who is in charge of undergrad admissions, if you can find them.
