Student Finance Maintenance Loan. Means test

Recently had my maintenance loan approved
I was puzzled that I was not asked for my household income
On querying i was told I had automatically been given the minimum and that I had to complete a form PFF2 to see if I could get more .
Why is the finance website not flagging up this step process as I only reallized something was missing by having read the Gov web site ?

Hi Tom,

If you had provided your sponsor(s) email addresses on your application we would have contacted them to support the application. If the application was then not supported then we would only be able to assess you for the basic amount of Maintenance Loan.

Hi

The online process did not ask for sponsors
It said we have all the info needed and jumped to submission
Then subsequently approved it

Hi Tom,

I am unable to view your account as we cannot access accounts here so I can not see what has happened with your application. If you have now sent the PFF2 form with your sponsor(s) information we can re-assess your entitlement.
