Is my course good enough for a good Job

I would like to ask if an MSc in Accounting Accountability and financial management in kings college is a good enough course to get a good job in A financial institution. I have applied and I’m afraid I didn’t choose the right course.

You won't need a postgrad to get a job in a financial institution. You need the appropriate qualification for the role that you intend to apply for, suitable in the country that you intend to apply for. A postgrad is not going to make the slightest difference to your job application, as far as I know.

If you don't specify the specific role that you want in the country that you want to work in, it's a little difficult to help.

Thank you for your response! I want to work in business consulting or in the finace department of McKinsey, Bain and company, BCH, pwc and the likes in the Uk. Will an MSc in Accounting and finance in kings college London help?

I am generalising, since I don't work in consulting companies. It's also a good idea to get a second opinion, as the level of competition for roles in consulting companies can skew what the companies are willing to accept.

Business consulting generally don't require any qualifications, so getting further qualifications don't usually help. If you are aiming for their graduate programs, then I would guess an undergrad at a high enough grade would be sufficient. Otherwise, I would check the entry requirements for their programs for the details.
Alternatively, you would try to network your way in i.e. you would need to know people (or know people who know people) in these consulting companies. Ask for career advice where appropriate.

Where you say finance department, do you mean as an in-house accountant? If so, your A Levels alone should be enough to allow you to study to become an accountant. By having an undergrad already, it means you already have the necessary qualifications. As such, your postgrad is redundant for job applications.
Again, check the entry requirements for their grad schemes as well as trying to network your way in.

If you do network and submit your applications properly, you would find that you would have an easier time getting in through networking. Your academic ability is usually less relevant than your professional interpersonal skills in this context.
