UK student applying for medicine in Germany (help!) | C1 German exam

I'm a student in the UK reapplying for medicine in the UK for 2025 entry. Due to there being a limit of 4 universities that we can apply for medicine here, I would like to apply abroad as well to increase my chances in securing a place for medicine.

For some background info: I was born in Germany, hence my first language was german, and a lot of my family live there. I moved to England when I was 7, so although I can speak german at a decent level (can read books, and speak it daily), from my own research, I will be required to sit the C1 German exam, which is a quite difficult exam, but since Im at a decent level (high B2 maybe?), it would be doable with lots of practice & learning. However, at the moment I have more important things to focus on such as the UCAT exam etc. since I'm mainly aiming to study medicine here.

I want to be fully prepared before taking the german exam, especially since it is quite expensive to sit for. My question is, when is the latest I can sit the german exam (for my application for german medical schools)?? Also, can someone please help me understand how applying to medicine in Germany works-Especially for international/ UK students. I have found info here and there, but I'm still very lost and confused! :frown:
