BAE Systems Graduate Application

I am an Aerospace Engineering graduate (graduated in July 2023) and have been trying to apply to BAE Systems Graduate Programs since past 2 years. I have received a 2:2 and also have completed many similar type of interviews (recorded) but always become unsuccessful as they state that they have been inundated with the applications every time I apply.
Because I am a graduate and don’t have any experience specific to Aerospace Industry so how can I possibly land into any position within aerospace sector. I am also trying to apply for other companies such as Airbus, Boeing, Leonardo and more including apprenticeships but have not been successful yet. I also modified my CV to best of best with a professional CV review maker and still no success.
And there is another problem with BAE Systems especially where you can only apply once per calendar year which is very frustrating and then have to give a new interview everything. It would be best if BAE Systems holds our application on a waiting list and consider for the next intake. This makes it fair process as those who are trying their best to land into any position are not treated unfair as they still meet all the basic requirements .

I feel no hope in the near future where it seems that to get a job in the UK after having a degree has become very difficult in the UK especially after Brexit. Then what was the point to get a degree with having a burden of student finance debt on me for the rest of my life and getting no where with the degree towards any job of my field.
I am not sure what to do as I am currently unemployed and still having many active Aerospace applications with no hope.
The job market is very tough right now for all sectors. It is unfortunate that you haven't had any luck so far but here are some tips that you may or may not already know.

(1) Quality over quantity. As you have mentioned, a lot of companies only allow one application per year so you need to make the most of it when you apply. Make sure you tailor your CV by looking at the job requirements and adding any that you meet to the CV. Like for example if I was applying for a robotics position, I would edit my CV and write about that if I did it in university. This will make you stand out when they are shortlisting CVs

(2) Do practise video interviews and psychometric exams. A lot of the video recording questions will be very similar so just google search for them. One example of a common question is "why do you want to work for us?". Same thing with psychometric exams, just look online for free tests.

(3) Set yourself a daily target on how many jobs you are going to apply. Don't make the number too big or too small, set it to like 5 per day and keep to that target until the jobs you want run out then do like 1 every other day.

(4) Relax, do not let the fact that you do not have a job yet define you. You are not a failure and you will eventually get a job. Remember to do other things such as hang out with friends or hobbies.

Dont restrict yourself to applying to aerospace jobs only. In the meantime, try applying to local mechanical engineering and CAD jobs.

As I don’t have any specific Engineering experience can you please give like trainee or jobs of CAD and Mechanical Engineer that require no experience? It would be helpful to have an idea

Majority of these jobs don't require on the job experience. Just a degree where your technical skills learnt at uni will be developed.

Try searching for the terms: junior engineer, trainee cad drafting.
Then you can sort the settings to local, within 20 miles
