STEM Degrees and Finance

Hello, I am currently coming to the end of my Masters studies and have been considering doing a 2nd degree which is a STEM degree but I'm unsure of the funding and whether the course is a STEM Subject. I've been looking at Computer and Digital Forensics at Teesside University. Does funding have to be taken as part time? Or is it available as full-time?

Thank you

There is no funding to study STEM courses as a second degree full time.

Universities will normally have information on their websites about which part time courses are classed as STEM for student finance purposes.

Hi there,

The course you have mentioned is classified as an exception course if it is part time. This means you would be eligible to apply for the Tuition Fee Loan and the Maintenance Loan.

Thanks, Drew
Hello,

We have some brilliant scholarships available to help you study a STEM subject, which you can find here.

Alternatively, all of the funding information can be found here.

Good luck!
