Health Science degree jobs

Hi everyone. I recently failed my biomedical science degree in university, so I have transferred my credits to health sciences with the Open University. I'm sure it's not surprising to hear I'm quite shaken about the whole thing, and I'm very unsure about the future. I worry if this is all a waste of time and I should have tried to find an entry level job in healthcare? Thankfully, I'm financially secure so I have time to prepare for the future. I just feel so worried I might enter the career world with nothing, or I won't be able to find any careers that use my degree.
Does anyone have any advice? Googling career recommendations hasn't helped my anxiety about the whole situation, but any ideas are helpful.

Hi there,

Healthcare science still offers a wide array of career opportunities and routes for further study. Your decision to continue your education with the Open University in health sciences can still lead to roles such as Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA), Associate Practitioner, etc. The skills you acquire, like critical thinking, data analysis, and research, are highly valuable and transferable.

Consider pursuing volunteer positions, or part time roles in healthcare to enhance your resume and gain practical experience. The healthcare industry is growing, and there's a consistent demand for knowledgeable professionals. Stay positive and proactive, I believe in you!

Hi, Health sciences, is also an amazing course to study and will open a lot of doors for you. Don't worry about the and just focus on your future course. You mentioned you transfered your credits to Health Science's at OU, how does that work? Very curious to know and were you not able to study the same course at OU, to gain a higher grade? Also how long did it take for them to reply to your credit transfer? Thanks
Hi! How did it work in regards to getting funding for the open Uni course? This is something I’m looking into at the moment.

I did a course at uni then dropped out, and I’m not sure what happens in regards to funding?
