Fitting In

I'm concerned that many of us are so afraid of being discarded and unwanted if we don't find ways to fit in. We aren't ourselves if we try fitting in with the environment around us, especially in school when "fitting in" is the norm because there's potential backlash for not doing so.

I think it's hard to feel a sense of belonging in school, even though we wear uniforms that try to make us feel that way. Trying to belong in a school brings with it a big risk of being bullied because by being your truest self, that can be the enemy of unity because the people you're trying to fit in with don't share the same values you do.

I think it could be best to be an outcast as long as you're happy with who you are because if you're real you're the one who will ultimately win.

It’s a load of bs fitting in, be yourself and be true . All the really and truly popular people are being themselves and don’t force anything on anyone or try to expect others to be same. School is Petri dish of insecurity due to age , anti social media and generally society now - forget it once you leave school , college and uni it gets a bit better and at work you can be more yourself sometimes.
Try to bridge where u can with different types of people, but don’t beg or try too hard.

Just watch them
All at their games and smile and find a few good friends which is all you’ll ever have really . 😉
