Going to uni

What is everyone doing in the free time while waiting for results??? I’m literally doing nothing and I really want to do something… I don’t have a car or much money or really have a social life as I’m quite a quiet person

Go swimming every day or get fit / train for Race for Life | Cancer Research UK or 5k Charity Run | Charity 5k Runs Near You | MS Society.

Read some grown-up novels - 100 Must Read Classics Books (goodreads.com) or Time 100 Best Modern Novels Books (goodreads.com) (join your local library?)

Go to the theatre. Or concerts. Or Art Galleries.
Go on day trips to big cities - be a tourist.

Hiya!

How are you feeling about going to university? And what course are you hoping to do?

When I was your position waiting for results I tried to just relax and just try to enjoy the summer before university. I spent a lot of time working at my part time job and I also spent a lot of time with family, boyfriend and friends, I fortunately managed to go on holiday with my friends and we had such an incredible time!

Here are some potential ideas, just to get some inspiration (and already I have seen some great suggestions)

-Try and see if you can get a part time job, or any work experience

-Plan some days out whether that is solo or with a few friends or family, this could be to the cinema, a local cafe, some parks, hiking, car boot/ vintage markets, museums or visiting a new city (this doesn't have to be expensive)

-Start a new hobby, since being at university I taught myself how to crochet and recently been buying some colouring in books to do in the evenings, you could try this or even start reading, starting a new tv series that has been on your watch list, learning how to cook / bake, learn a new language etc

-Do a declutter, this may be quite boring but every time I am home for a longer period of time I always try and do a declutter and a deep spring clean of my home bedroom.

I would recommend having a google too - what can you do in your summer break perhaps inspiration will hit 😃
