People’s opinions are allowed to change you know…

JD - "You're like Hitler, a danger to the country"
DJ - "I'll make you rich and powerful"
JD - "You have my full support!"

I disagree with you but I haven't compared you to Hitler.
I see you have adopted the "big lie" principle as well.
I just told you why people compare Trump to Hitler - because of certain similarities in political operation. Not because they disagree with him.
Even his presidential running mate called him "America's Hitler". If his VP thinks Trump is like Hitler, who are you to disagree?
You didn't bother to read that article, did you? Here's another one...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/11/13/how-trumps-rhetoric-compares-hitlers/

It is silly to compare Adolf Hitler. His millennial VP pick is like everyone else.

They both have dodgy haircuts.
They both packed the courts with with supporters to override the rule of law (eg. granting Trump immunity from prosecution and throwing out a legally sound case for no good reason).
The both use the "big lie" principle on an almost daily basis.
Both call political opponents "vermin".
Accusing certain ethnic groups of "poisoning the blood of our nation".
etc, etc
In fact, there are almost more similarities than differences.
Obviously he hasn't embarked on any programmes of mass extermination yet, but who can predict the future?

This is silly. Both Dems and Republicans pack the courts during their time in office. Biden forced a sitting USSC Justice to retire so he could nominate a younger Justice.

This nonsense “big lie” again.

Have you heard what Biden supporters call Trump supporters?

It is convenient that the argument of many liberals for why Biden should be president is by criticising Trump and the opposition rather than stating the policies Biden plans to implement.
This is a common tactic by many liberals.

"Not Trump" is all that needs to be said about Biden, similar to how "Not The Tories" was all Labour needed to say.
But if you are not aware of the types of policy each candidate is proposing, than that's just down to you being ill-informed.

However, Biden should not be the Democratic candidate as he is too old.

So, as per with other discussions you have taken part i, you are not presenting any cogent counter argument. You are just repeatedly saying you disagree without giving any reason.

There has always been a balance. Plus, Democratic appointments do not flout legal consensus in favour of extreme partisan agendas, as we have seen Trump appointees doing.

"Big Lie" is not nonsense. Trump (and now other Republican politicians and media mouthpieces) continually repeat clear and blatant lies. This is an undeniable fact. Are you really claiming that the 2020 election was stolen?

I don't know, what do Biden supporters call Trump supporters?

2WheelGod is known to be some silly guy I can't lie man, don't waste your time on him my friend. I'm sure he's happy about what's been going on in Leeds, I'm afraid he has nothing to say for himself after he snitched and got me a yellow card for speaking facts🤦

It is incredible how he engages in discourse.

This is simply not true. You need to study the leaning of the USSC over the years based on the makeup of the Justices. It is now leaning conservative because of the number. You cannot try shout foul play when the Justices were selected by a democratically elected President.

The Big Lie is nonsense.

You seem to be informed, research what Trump supporters are called.

Cogent counter argument that President Trump is not Adolf Hitler? What is going on in this world? How tf can you compare Trump to one of the worst humans in history with one of the largest murder rates in history. It is silly.

Quote me once instance where a Dem majority in SCOTUS has forced decisions that go against the acknowledged rule of law or established legal precedent.
Seriously, don't duck the issue like you normally do. Back up your claims with some evidence for a change.

The usual straw man/evasion, I see.
No one has claimed that Trump "is Adolf Hitler". The argument is that they both employ similar political techniques and rhetoric (Big Lie, dehumanising opponents, using the courts to grant themselves excessive power/protection, accusing minorities of "poisoning the nation's blood, etc) . And as usual, you are unable to present a cogent counter argument (note - you are expected to address the actual argument that is being made, not some flimsy straw man of your own fabrication).

So, try again...

This is ridiculous.

the so-called Big Lie that Trump has been accused of is that the election was stolen. Hitler’s Big Lie was hatred of Jewish people and other minorities. Both different things.

Both political parties use dehumanising language and the Democrats have called Trump supporters fascists, bigots and unwanted.

Using the courts to grant themselves poor is silly. All parties have appointed judges. Trump was lucky to have 3 options. Yet you are annoyed that he had that chance. Did you want him to appoint left-leaning Justices to appease you?

This is not a strawman. You cannot compare a proven murderer to a man whose child and grandchildren are Jewish. It is so messed up.

What are you talking about? There are several examples of Dem controlled SCOTUS that made controversial decisions.

For example, the controversial Roe vs Wade that intervened in the abortion debate resulted in decades of legal precedence until it was reversed by the recent SCOTUS.

Here was the make up of the 1973 SCOTUS that was incorrectly decided:

Chief Justice
Warren E. Burger - Republican

Associate Justices
William O. Douglas - Democrat
William J. Brennan Jr. - Democrat
Byron White - Democrat
Thurgood Marshall - Democrat
Lewis F. Powell Jr. - Democrat
Potter Stewart - Republican
Harry Blackmun - Republican
William Rehnquist - Republican

Majority: Blackmun, joined by Burger, Douglas, Brennan, Stewart, Marshall, Powell

Dissent: White, joined by Rehnquist

I did not say "controversial" (although allowing women control of their own reproductive systems is hardly "controversial". 😡)

I said "decisions that go against the acknowledged rule of law or established legal precedent".

Try again.
(I keep forgetting that you struggle with the factual/rational element of debate)

It does not matter what the nature of the "big lie" is. It is the fact that Hitler invented the principle, and Trump is a most devout practitioner of it (btw he is recorded as having lied over 30,000 times while in office).

It is irrelevant what random individuals call people they oppose. We are talking about what The (ex/future) President of the United States is calling his opponents. Surely you can appreciate the difference? (no, you probably can't)

I am really tired of this nonsense.

Roe vs Wade went against the established legal precedent and set its own precedence.

But the current President publicly said that it was time to put his opponent in the bullseye which was followed by an attempt on that individual’s life.
