What are you talking about? There are several examples of Dem controlled SCOTUS that made controversial decisions.
For example, the controversial Roe vs Wade that intervened in the abortion debate resulted in decades of legal precedence until it was reversed by the recent SCOTUS.
Here was the make up of the 1973 SCOTUS that was incorrectly decided:
Chief Justice
Warren E. Burger - Republican
Associate Justices
William O. Douglas - Democrat
William J. Brennan Jr. - Democrat
Byron White - Democrat
Thurgood Marshall - Democrat
Lewis F. Powell Jr. - Democrat
Potter Stewart - Republican
Harry Blackmun - Republican
William Rehnquist - Republican
Majority: Blackmun, joined by Burger, Douglas, Brennan, Stewart, Marshall, Powell
Dissent: White, joined by Rehnquist

I did not say "controversial" (although allowing women control of their own reproductive systems is hardly "controversial". 😡)

I said "decisions that go against the acknowledged rule of law or established legal precedent".

Try again.
(I keep forgetting that you struggle with the factual/rational element of debate)

This is ridiculous.
the so-called Big Lie that Trump has been accused of is that the election was stolen. Hitler’s Big Lie was hatred of Jewish people and other minorities. Both different things.
Both political parties use dehumanising language and the Democrats have called Trump supporters fascists, bigots and unwanted.
Using the courts to grant themselves poor is silly. All parties have appointed judges. Trump was lucky to have 3 options. Yet you are annoyed that he had that chance. Did you want him to appoint left-leaning Justices to appease you?
This is not a strawman. You cannot compare a proven murderer to a man whose child and grandchildren are Jewish. It is so messed up.

It does not matter what the nature of the "big lie" is. It is the fact that Hitler invented the principle, and Trump is a most devout practitioner of it (btw he is recorded as having lied over 30,000 times while in office).

It is irrelevant what random individuals call people they oppose. We are talking about what The (ex/future) President of the United States is calling his opponents. Surely you can appreciate the difference? (no, you probably can't)

I am really tired of this nonsense.

Roe vs Wade went against the established legal precedent and set its own precedence.

But the current President publicly said that it was time to put his opponent in the bullseye which was followed by an attempt on that individual’s life.

Did the shooter become a MAGA gun nut before or after this vauge statement from Biden? Just curious.

What was the established legal precedence that Roe v Wade went against? (Note: you will actually have to cite an established federal legal precedence here, bearing in mind that abortion had already been a de-facto right in most states for many decades).

"You really need to take a step back and educate yourself."
I also note that you are cranking the irony up to 11.

Oh dear.

On the other hand, Trump has... (see multiple independent reports of his deliberately inflammatory, divisive, dehumanising, and dishonest rhetoric.

Look, one can excuse (not really) your nonsensical defence of the Tory government, but to defend Trump and claim he does nothing worthy of criticism just further undermines any claim you may have had to be presenting rational arguments.

Well he had been a registered Republican for years, and the weapon he used was legally bought by his father (probably a Republican).

The NRA giveth, and the NRA taketh away (nearly).

You should read up on Roe vs Wade. You contradict yourself but you are unable to understand it.

The established legal precedence was that abortion was not a universal right given to the woman and the laws were bound by the State in which she lived. The Supreme Court upended that and made the right universal across the United States.

The recent overturn by the current USSC was to return the decision back to the States which was the established legal precedence for decades.

This was the reason why many uninformed individuals fell for the tricks played by the Democrats and left-leaning media that the SCOTUS had banned abortion which was factually not true as they simply reverted the 1973 decision back to the legal precedence that governed the US.

My point has been that the left snd the right has been guilty of divisive rhetoric. It is not fine when Biden or the left does it but viewed as extreme when President Trump does it.

If President Trump used the bullseye comment and Biden was assassinated, do you honestly believe that the left would have let it go? The left are keen to put a context for everyone statement made by Biden but want the public to take Trump’s comments in its entirety at face value.

Look, I am not American and don't really care if they ruin their country. I am focused on Britain and our problems. It we can secure a trade deal with them to sell our goods and services, I am good.
President Biden has withdrawn from seeking re-election.The Democrat deep state has finally pushed him out.

Where are the people rooting for Biden here? How could they think Biden was fit to be president of the United States when his own party weren't even convinced by him?

I'm intrigued to see the mental gymnastics they will employ to justify this.

Haha, I am looking forward to it too. The past 3+ years have been insane with him as President.

While Biden may not have been up to the job for another 4 years, he clearly would have been better than Trump.
Most Democrats will be pleased with the change though.

Clearly the people of the Democratic Party disagreed.

The big problem with you is i think you probably don't know how to engage with people in debates. You lump everyone into one box and then use the same lines.

Ah yes, the "very fine people on both sides" argument.

Please provide quotes where Biden has called political opponents "vermin" or accused minorities of "poisoning the blood of our country", stating "if I'm elected president there will be no more elections", repeated lies about election fraud, etc.

Comparing Trump to Biden is like comparing Hitler to Churchill.

Wrong. They knew he would be a better president than Trump, they just weren't sure he would beat Trump in the election. Harris will sweep the floor with him.

This is ridiculous. Please do your research.

Also Churchill was not the nice guy that had been pushed out for decades. He had said and done many deplorable things.

Nope. You claimed that Biden uses rhetoric as divisive and inflammatory as Trump, so it is your responsibility to support your claim, not mine.

"Also Churchill was not the nice guy that had been pushed out for decades. He had said and done many deplorable things."
That was my point. Churchill was awful, but you wouldn't claim he was as bad as Hitler.

If Harris wins I wonder how much damage she will cause to the country. She failed as vice-president already.
