Conversion Course/Additional Funding SFE

Hi

I hold a BA and MSc both SFE funded.
I’m hoping to do a conversion course in psychology to progress to a doctorate in counselling psychology.

I’m wondering whether SFE would fund a conversion course and doctorate?

Thanks

Hi, there are student finance rep's on here who can answer your question fully (not sure how to tag them, sorry!)

I did my MSc Psychology conversion at Arden which had the options of blended and 100% online learning. A big bonus was a flexibility of payment where you paid per Unit as you did them, and there was a timescale of which you had to complete the course. Arden is definitely legible for a student loan; and the course is fully accredited by the BPS. I'm not 100% sure about you finance situation though, you might want to ring Student Finance England if you don't get a reply on here within a week or so

Moved to Ask Student Finance England forum for the attention of @SFE Clare, who should be able to answer you.

Hi Absm10,

Can you confirm the duration of the conversion course and the full name of this course/university? Can you also confirm if this would be full time or part time? The Doctorate would be eligible as it is a higher level qualification from what you currently hold.

Thanks, Clare
