Official University of Chester Clearing 2024 thread

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Official University of Chester 2024 Clearing thread

We know that it can be a daunting and stressful time, but we’re here to help! First off, let's start by covering the basics - what is Clearing and who is it for?!

Clearing is open from 5th of July to the 21st October and is a way to apply for university:

If you haven’t applied yet or missed the 30th of June UCAS deadline.

If you're holding a university offer but have changed your mind and want to apply for a different course or university.

If you didn’t receive any offers.

Or, if your exam results don't go to plan, you can use Clearing from results day to find an alternative place.

Feel free to ask us any Clearing related questions here and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, or take a look at our website which covers the process in lots more detail.

We look forward to chatting with you!

Hey, I hold an unconditional offer from Chester but have yet to receive my CAS shield, it's august now and I'm really stressed about it.

Hi everyone! 😊

As results day approaches, I hope you are doing well, staying positive, and keeping busy! I just wanted to provide you with a little 'how-to-guide' for applying through Clearing if you don't get the results you are expecting.

1.

Check the University of Chester's clearing vacancies course list: https://www.chester.ac.uk/clearing/courses/.

2.

Contact the Clearing call centre to chat through your options and see if UoC can make you an offer: 01244 567 470 / [email protected]. To make this process as quick and easy as possible, please make sure you have your exam results and UCAS clearing number on hand when you call!

The extended hours for the call centre are as follows:

Thursday 15th August: 8am 7pm

Friday 16th August: 8am 6pm

Saturday 17th August: 9am 5pm

Sunday 18th August: 10am 4pm

1.

If you want to accept your offer, from 1pm on Thursday 15th August you can log on to UCAS Hub and refer your application. This counts as you definitely accepting the offer.

2.

Book a Clearing Visit Day to visit before starting in September: https://www.chester.ac.uk/clearing/visit-days/.

3.

Make sure to update your student finance application about where you will be attending university and what course you'll be studying.

4.

And finally - get excited about September and Welcome Week! 🥳

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

I'm an international student so this is my first time applying to Chester. I appreciate the help and could you tell me what I need to do as an international student?
