english language investigation - y13 help?

hi so when I go back after summer I have to have at least a plan for my coursework done, which is a language investigation, and I have no clue what to do nor how to structure or write it up. I was looking at doing something media based or linking with psychology as I also do that - so psycholinguistics - but nothing seems to interest me or be easy to gather info about. if anyone is willing to give me ideas and/or share their’s (not planning on copying lol, just really in need of an idea about how to structure it), it would be a huge help. thank you!!!

hiya assuming this is AQA I can send mine over? I did mine on 'To what extent do Virginia Slims adverts sell a false narrative of empowerment to women?' I got 92/100 in my coursework overall so if you'd like it I'm more than happy to send it!

Hiya, I'm an English Language Uni student so I feel like I'm qualified to help on this considering it helped me get in haha. I did mine on language differences between male and female descriptions and phrases in Women's Health and Men's Health magazine. As for the topic, I'd say to try and find something that genuinely interests you as you'll be focusing on it for A WHILE. Gender differences and psychology are easier topics as they can be transferred into pretty much anything. As for the structure, unless there is a specific style that your teacher wants it to be formatted, I went for the simple:
Introduction
Hypothesis
How you got the data
Three or four topics that you're focusing on, I headlined mine using the models I compared to and the differences I could point out
Conclusion & Evaluation
Appendices

Another tip: when looking for the differences, I printed out the two text comparisons and colourcoded obvious differences

Good Luck!!
