Medicine to healthcare consulting

After getting my MBBS degree, I'm considering a career switch to consulting. I don't plan on doing FY1. To do this, I was wondering if an intercalated degree in management (e.g: from Imperial) would be enough to apply and get a job. I realise that a lot of experienced doctors do transition, but since I wouldn't have any experience apart from a few internships, can an iBSc compensate for that?

Are there any other jobs in finance I can move to as a new doctor? I still have a few years left to build my CV and the relevant skills and knowledge.

Some consulting firms (BCG is the first that comes to mind) will have programs to take you directly from a medicine degree to consulting. McKinsey is also known for hiring consultants right our of med school. An iBSc in management won't be necessary in most cases - often, the medical degree is already enough. Good luck!
