Mature student best options for medicine with UCAT score?

Hi!

I'm a mature student (31) looking to apply to medicine for 2025 entry.

I'm not a graduate, I'm currently completing an access to medicine course (on track for full distinctions, and I've checked my course is accepted by multiple med schools). I sat my UCAT this morning and got a 2680 and band 1 (not too bad I guess!).

My 1st choice is BSMS; I know they are keen on mature students but there's no information on what their UCAT requirements will be as they've always previously used BMAT. As far as I can tell, I should meet the entry requirements for St Georges, Kings College and UCL (though I hear they require higher UCAT score but there's no guidance on their website about their thresholds) but I'm really keen to apply strategically to have the best chance of securing interviews. Any advice would be amazing, please!

Hi,
I don’t know the UCAT score requirements, but it might be worth having a read of the Southampton application policy too. They have a mature non-grad pathway that might be worth learning about.

I don’t know how they stand on access courses, but it worth a look potentially.
