Urgent Advice Please

I am in Berkshire and studying A-level Math, Physics and Computing in sixth form.

I got 6 A's and 2 B's in GCSE.

I had an A in physics in GCSEs and I picked Physics and Math for A level as i was planning to do engineering. I am finding Physics a bit hard, i am putting the same amount of effort into other subjects and getting better results. I think Physics is not for me and i have been thinking about doing Accounts or computing.

I have just received my AS level results and i am shocked to get a D grade. I have never received that low grade before. I got an A in Math and a B in computing. I had Math and Physics on the same day and i think it was too much for me, my brain can't cope with two exams in a day.

My first preference is an apprenticeship degree and my second option is University. I need ABB to get into university or in an apprenticeship degree program.

What should i do with Physics? I can resit the exam in September and try to get a B grade. But i don't think i want to continue after that.

Unfortunately, my college doesn't offer accounting subjects at A level.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Your GCSEs and location are generally irrelevant to your question.

I would go for a full A Level, so I would do something else instead should you wish not to continue.
In terms of grades, it's probably a better idea to resit as opposed to just leave it. It's up to you though.

I get annoyed when people say they need to study the subject at A Level in order to do it at degree level or go into the profession. See the following steps:

Step 2: Look at the entry requirements for the role that you want

Step 3: If getting a degree is the only way to get into the role, then inspect what sort of degree is required and whether it needs to be accredited by certain professional bodies

Step 4: Look at the entry requirements of the specific degrees that you need to do, if the degree is required

Step 5: Pick your A Levels/BTEC/IB/other NVQ Level 3 qualification subjects

If you look at the entry requirements for accounting and computing, you would quickly notice that you won't need specific degrees to get into these industries. Should you decide to do a computer science degree for any reason, you would need A Level Maths + 2 subjects in any other subject (Computer Science is recommended though).
Accounting degrees are generally not recommended (unless you want to go into academia in the subject), since it would take you longer to qualify and it costs more to complete your qualification. Accounting degrees generally don't require specific A Level subjects, but the pickier joint accounting and finance degrees will ask for A Level Maths. The professional accounting qualification that you would need generally accept 2 A Levels in any subjects (3 ideally if you want to get employed at a practice).
From both options, I would recommend focusing on replacing Physics with a subject that you can get a high grade in (unless you are confident on resitting the subject and scoring a high grade - what I would want to do myself if I was in your position).
