Hey! Super random question but what bags do people bring to university lectures ? I’m not sure about what workload I need to carry and stuff like that. Any help would be great, thank you!

This is a great question! It honestly depends on how you plan to spend the rest of your day, I reckon. Since my lectures are in the morning, I usually bring a backpack, which fits my laptop, charger, lunch perhaps, stuff for later activities (eg., gym), when I'm planning to stay out on campus all day long. This might be days when I have societies/club stuff going on, or when I'm going for a more productive day of studying.

When I do have lazier days though, for example going for the lecture and then going back straight home, I usually just bring a tote bag for my laptop and charger, and then go back to my student accommodation. I think most people usually just bring a tote bag.

So, the usual school bag you have would probably suit fine, but you get a ton of tote bag freebies at freshers fairs anyways :biggrin:

Hi @Medavies,

I had a variety of bags for university including a backpack for busier/longer days and a tote bag is always a good option. Within my backpack, I would usually take my laptop, notebook, stationary, lunch, water, charger, and anything for further activities after uni.

On the shorter days, I would just take a notebook or laptop if needed and a drink with some snacks. I think this also depends on what course you study and what your lecture entail. 😊
