Applying to M&S

I applied to M&S in June and got no invite to schedule an interview considering I’ve worked there before , my application was under consideration for 3-4 weeks then I randomly got rejected. I emailed the hiring manager and she apologised for me not being invited to schedule an interview or even being invited to upload my right to work but there’s nothing she could do as they already hired people. So I applied to a different M&S store yesterday with a new email address and got invited to upload my right to work and to schedule an interview.
My question is would they know I’ve been rejected before as I put I haven’t been rejected within 6 months?
