Can I enrol to multiple Sixth Forms?

Hello Everyone,

So I'm in quite a dilemma. School B is guaranteeing the subjects I want to study at Sixth Form, whilst school A can guarantee a subject I really want to study only in September, after enrollment.

So, my question is, if I enrol to both schools in August, and in September if I get to know that X subject can be offered at School A, can I just turn down school B after enrolling and attend the school A.

I hope someone can help me out.

yeah you can do that, just be polite because it's probably a bit of a hassle for them
but i did that and i know lots of other people who did that too

i don't have reddit unfortunately, i'm only on tsr. once you've been active for a bit you should be able to pm me, and i'm more than happy to try and help you on there/on this thread!
no worries, my question was did you inform the schools in august that you were enrolling at two schools and did they have any issues with it?

no, i didn't tell them i was enrolling at two schools.
one of the schools i enrolled at was my gcse school and the other was a new sixth form that i wanted to move to.
i basically went to the new school for a week, decided i liked it and didn't want to go back to my old school, and then politely emailed the admissions team at my old school telling them something along the lines of 'i have accepted an offer from an alternative sixth form and have decided to reject my place at this one. apologies for any inconvenience caused'.
if they had any issues with it i wasn't aware of them. and i know a lot of people who did something similar.
i just didn't want to get into any trouble, cause i searched it up and there were mixed responses, some say "you can enrol to a hundred sixth forms and it would matter", whilst on the other hand some say " you can only legally enrol to one", so I was a bit confused.

yeah fair enough, i was really skeptical too when i first heard about enrolling to more than one
its more common than you might think though - i wouldn't enrol to too many, but two is fine if it means you can keep your options open and study what you really want to do. because if in the end school A can't offer you what you want, it's better to have school B as a backup than nothing at all
good luck for your results, i hope everything goes well and you end up at school A
