anyone read comics aside from marvel / dc

I've always been more of a Image fan rather than a dc / marvel fan. Don't get me wrong they are both great and all but they keep focusing on the same characters and not producing any new storylines that is not related to other characters. I really like Image due to comics like the maxx and authors like ed brubaker who has published many original comics. Does anyone have a similar preference where they prefer more original comics.
