The Student Room Group

Is this for everyone?

"If you're studying on a BPS-accredited undergraduate degree, conversion course or a BPS-accredited programme of study for the wider psychological workforce, you can get your first year of BPS membership for free. Whether you're in your first year or final year of study, you can unlock 12 months of student membership at no cost to you."

Hi @RONIN69🌟

That is a very good question you are asking! So basically if you are studying a course which is accredited by BPS (those are usually undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses) you are automatically eligible for a BPS membership for one year. Afterwards you can upgrade to Graduate Membership for as little as £42 per year. This will give you many discounts on conferences and events, free online access to the BPS's archive of academic journals, access to The Psychologist as well as the ability to use the official title 'GMBPsS' after your name. The majority (but not all) of Psychology courses in the UK are accredited by BPS so be careful when choosing where to study if you desire to obtain the student membership.

To make your life easier, the University of Essex is offering both BSc Psychology and MSc Psychology courses which are fully accredited by BPS.🎓

If you are interested and would like to learn more, do not hesitate to get in touch!

Hope this helps!
