Oxford A - Level Predicted grades for Law

Hi, I want to apply to Oxford for law and I am currently in year 12 - will be in year 13 in September. I have always wanted to apply to oxford but and to have a decent chance of actually making a competitive application but I have gotten A*AA for my predicted grades. The grade requirements for law at Oxford are AAA. I only have one grade above that so I want to know if this will significantly hinder me. My school is very strict with raising predicted grades, so no amount of asking will boost them. Will the predicted grades I have really stop me from making a competitive application to Oxford and other top unis for law?

Tbh, I don't think Oxbridge focus too much on predicted grades after you've met the minimum, since most people get a perfect streak of 3 A*s / 4 A*s it's not really something worth differentiating upon. You'd probably have a competitive application based on how well you've done in the LNAT and how strong your personal statement is. That's just my two cents after seeing a couple friends get into Oxbridge Law last year.

If you meet the requirements, which you have, you will not be disadvantaged. Oxford won’t look at your application and immediately reject you because you don’t have 3 A*s. There’s a lot they factor into their decision and at the end of the day, predictions are just predictions. Universities know this and will consider your application on an individual basis.

Alright thanks for the advice. I've just bought arbitio and I plan on doing at least 1 - 2 hours everyday in summer so i get a really good score in my LNAT, because I assume that will be the most important factor in deciding whether I will get an interview or not.

Yeah good luck with that. Focus on trying to get 25+ in the LNAT and forming a strong essay.
