I (21 F) want to encourage my brother-in-law (19 M) to help himself out of some bad h

So some context, my Fiancé (25 M) and I have been together for some time and I've come to love his family so so so much. I come from a very ab*sive household and my in-laws are like my family. I love them so deeply and wanna see them all happy. My BIL Chris is a really sweet guy but he seems to be at a point in his life where he doesnt know what he wants and he's sort of let go of himself a little bit. He's working a job that pays fairly but other than that his hobbies include gaming, metal music (which I find super cool) and collecting and watching shows on blu-ray. He's also a huge fan of snacking and is a pretty picky eater so his diet is quite poor so he's gained a lot of weight. He's also a pretty quiet and shy guy, he's really funny and sweet once you get to know him.My partner and I are quite worried for him and we've been trying to brainstorm some ideas to help him at least on the weight front, truly please everyone I hope you understand it doesn't come from a place of judgement, it comes from a place of love and care because a guy his age shouldn't be so heavy set. We wanna encourage him to eat better and find a form of excercise he likes.

What I'm here for is some advice on how we can encourage better eating habits for someone who is picky with food, how we can encourage him to get active with us, as well as help build his confidence? (If any of you have more questions about the situation please ask away, anything too personal will not be answered out of respect for his privacy)
well what form of exercise does he like?

These things are difficult to influence and only tend to work if the person themselves wants to change. Otherwise other people’s efforts to help with improving tend to go down badly. You could try inviting him on some enjoyable outdoor activities that you do to see if he wants to join in. If not I would leave it to him and his partner

Buy him small plates for his birthday

Try get on his phone and search for lettuces so he gets adverts for lettuces and stuff like that

Sign him up to the mailing lists for local fat camps and fatty meet ups
