I mean by that logic you'd never have any opinion or preference on anything that doesn't directly affect you in your daily life. Many people are deeply moved, upset and feel compassion for the suffering happening on one side or all sides of this conflict. The woke stance nowadays seems to be to praise Gaza for everything and demonise Israel, but there are also those who recognise that Israel does and should exist and that the best path to peace is one where there are two states that at least have some semblance of peacefully coexisting.
