Transfer/Leave of absence help with SOAS

Hi so I'm a 1st year LLB student who had to leave Uni bc of medical circumstances, the problem is because of the medical situation I'm basically being forced to attend another uni in my home country but I've only told SOAS I want to take a leave. Is it possible to use my status of leave of absence as a way to then transfer into second year after completing a year of my new university. Or can i transfer into SOAS Law despite being a student for SOAS Law that had to drop out. Ik its confusing but help me out pls
