Need help understand my UK drivers license.

This is going to sound stupid because I've had my driver's licence for 11 years.

My question is regarding the categories found on the back of the card.

I can see a start and end date for my B permit, but I can also see the same thing for the A permit. Just not for A1 or A2.

Does that mean I can legally ride a motorbike??

See https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories for driving licence categories and what they mean. Note that you'll also need to check the restriction codes at https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-codes

I have category A entitlement on my licence, but it has a restriction code 79(3). Looking that up, it means that the A entitlement is "restricted to tricycles".

If you want to learn to ride a motorbike you'll need to see https://www.gov.uk/ride-motorcycle-moped
