Laet free periodd

Hi so quick question abt free periods I was wondering how many we get in yr 12 as we do 4 subjects and how I should use them in the beginning.

I live far away ish as I moved houses after applying but it's my no.1 choice jd be getting home at like 5pm roughly and ik in yr 13 it'll be a bit annoying(but my dad lives rlly close to the school and I'm planning to stay at his house during exams eg if I have an exam the next day)I can stay at his too much as his house is small and my mum has primary custody of me(but they have a good relationship and it's not like she'll keep me from seeing him )

Are you asking if you can go home in if your last period is “free” (by definition this is a self study session).

When I was at sixth form, they allowed us to go home at lunch time if our last period was free. However, this rule does not extend everywhere. Check your school’s policy before assuming you can or can’t.

They may also ask you to sign out (again, assuming the policy says you can leave) so, if there is a fire alarm or something, they can see you’re not currently in the school grounds.

At LAET you have 4 free periods over 2 weeks so one for each subject however if you choose to drop one at the end of the year or to do the EPQ those previous lessons will become free periods so you would have an extra 5 a week

Technically by the end of yr12 you can drop whatever, school makes it hard for higher achieving students to drop their best subjects, defo easier to drop something you’re failing
