What if I failed to get into dental schools but reapply to medicine afterwards

Hi. I want to do dentistry but I'm aware that is it really competitive. Initially i want to do medicine but due to certain factors, i am more aligned to dentistry right now but just in case i might want to take medicine as my back up option. May i know would i be able to reapply to medicine if i got kicked out from dentistry. I intend to apply to different unis for medicine in that case. Would the unis know i've already applied to dentistry before ? Thanks
I think you need to be clearer on a few points here.

If you are withdrawn from a dentistry course i.e. "kicked out" after starting the course (whether due to failing academic elements repeatedly, being excluded due to fitness to practice issues, or just dropping out for whatever reason), this may potentially be VERY significant.

Spoiler

That is very different however to applying to dentistry and not getting any offers. There would be no issue in reapplying to medicine in a gap year in that case and even if they did know you had applied to dentistry (which I can't see they would) it wouldn't influence admissions decisions. It's common for students to reapply to medicine in a gap year and some may have originally applied to different courses - that is no barrier.

There would be no practical way to apply to both medicine and dentistry simultaneously in the same application cycle I can see realistically and it would be inadvisable in any event.
