Biden insists he’s ‘in better physical shape’ than Trump

President Biden insisted that he’s “in better physical shape” than former President Donald Trump while dismissing calls from fellow Democrats to step aside due to concerns about his mental fitness — despite forgetting the name “Herbert Hoover” in the same interview with BET.

“Look, I’m only three years older than Trump, okay? And I think I’m in a little better physical shape than he is,” Biden said, chuckling as he referred to the Republican presidential nominee’s weight.

“It’s not unreasonable for people to say, ‘Wait a minute, you’re 81 years old,'” Biden told Ed Gordon of BET News in the interview, which was taped Tuesday in Las Vegas and released Wednesday night.

“So I think it’s a legitimate thing for the race and as long as I can demonstrate it is not affecting my ability to compete and my ability to get things done, my ability to literally lead the world.”

Biden is clearly in better physical shape than Trump. Trump needed someone to hold his hand going down a ramp. Biden can fall and get right back up.

Umm did you watch the debate? Biden had to be escorted down and off the stage. Trump just walked off.

Like I dislike trump but he is both mentally and phically in better shape.

I don't watch election debates in the U.S. but I have seen Biden ride bikes (and fall off), climb stairs (and fall off) and he seems to be able to dust himself off fairly well and move on.

If he needed to be escorted off stage, I'm not surprised. He's deteriorating rapidly.

Trump is clearly in better physical shape than Biden which is why Biden had to refer to Trump’s weight to avoid acknowledging his deteriorating health.

My dad's 80 and, even though he can be a little slow off the mark, he's still very bright and hard working for his age. It took him 3 days to lay out decking on his 25 metre squared terrace, by himself.

That said, he hasn't been POTUS for 4 years, which is a very taxing job. Look what it did to Obama and Bush before him.

Biden's health and mental wellbeing, however, doesn't seem to have deteriorated solely by age, or from the job. I'm no clinician, but it could be onset dementia... He just isn't as cognitively sound as he was in, say, 2016.

He should step down, but like most 80-something men, he's stubborn.

Is there a vote of no confidence in the US ?
