How is the IELTS exam conducted?

The IELTS exam, or the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess your proficiency in English across four key areas: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. You can choose between the Academic and General Training versions, depending on your goals.

Hi there,
Coventry University Student Ambassador here!
ILETS is conducted through two medium. It is either written which is how you would write any exam (pen and paper) or CBT (computer based) in which you are to go into one of the idp centres of your choice and attempt the exam on their systems.
One thing you might want to keep in mind while booking in your ILETS exam is the time duration is takes for the results to be out for each vary.
As written exams tend to take much longer through the marking procedure whilst results for CBTs are out in 1-5 business days.
Hope this helps answering your question!
Kind regards,
Harleen.
