Choosing Between MSc Economics at SOAS vs. MSc Economics and Finance at KCL

Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well. I am seeking some advice regarding my upcoming decision on postgraduate studies. I have recently received offers from both SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) for their MSc in Economics program and from King's College London (KCL) for their MSc in Economics and Finance program.

A little background about myself: I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from KSA, and I have over 3 years of experience working as an economist at a competition authority, where my focus has primarily been on microeconomics and markets.

Given my background, I am keen to further my knowledge and skills in economics and finance, particularly with an eye towards contributing to economic and financial policy-making, aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from those familiar with these programs or anyone who has faced a similar decision. What are the strengths of each program? How do they differ in terms of curriculum, faculty, and opportunities for career advancement? Any advice on factors I should consider before making my decision would be immensely helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
