Jobs

I'm going into my second year of college and I've been looking for a part time job for over a year now and I'm sick of it. How do you guys find jobs bc I know so many ppl at my college have jobs but I just can't find any

Have you tried leaving curriculms in different places? There's also some websites online such as Infojobs or Jobtoday which let you search for jobs in the area were you live.
Other than that, perhaps try mentioning to various people that you are trying to find a job, they might know of a place that is searching for employers, or if they hear of one, they can get back to you. Lastly, you could try to see if there are any jobs on campus looking for people too.

Okay, thank you. What do you mean by leaving curriculums in different places

Try fast food places (e.g. mcdonalds) as they take on a lot of students.
I know with mcdonalds you have to apply on the careers section of their website.

Hi there, you could try applying to fastfood places especially mcdonalds because they're more likely to employ people your age. You could also visit smaller and independent businesses in your area such as cafes and pharmacies and asking if they're hiring. You could also ask people in college with jobs for recommendations if you're comfortable with that

Like printing out your CV (with your phone number or email so they can contact you ofc) and giving it out in shops/local buisnesses.

Yeah I've been meaning to go to one of my local pharmacies. I've already asked GPs and certain pharmacies though and they've said that they don't have insurance to cover for it

Will always recommend bookies if you're not morally against the industry. Most shops would be grateful for part time students who'll take evening and weekend shifts. One thing I will say though is scope any shop you apply for after 7pm and see if it's one or two workers on. Go for a location which are dual manned after 7pm and most places will be quiet enough to let you get on with some assignments when the studies get heavy. Always overtime going as well for picking up extra shifts on holidays/through the summer.

I appreciate your help, are there any other places you know of since I don't want to work there
