Declining an offer

I changed my mind on what course I want to do, got an offer through clearing but can't accept it cause I still have the conditional firm and insurance. I might just be being stupid but I can't find a way to decline them to accept the clearing one?

You're not being stupid. UCAS have decided (for reasons known only to them) that you can only decline an unconditional offer (via the "Decline my place" button which appears in that scenario). Your offer will only go from conditional to unconditional once you have your grades and you've met the conditions of you offer. Bizarre, isn't it?

I suggest you call UCAS (0371 468 0 468) and see whether they can drop you into Clearing manually.

Be very sure you want to do this. The verbal offer you have from the other uni is not guaranteed right now - not until you formally apply via Clearing - which you can't do whilst you still have those other two offers.

Its to stop applicants panicking and going into Clearing before an Uni has made a decision about their results.

You need to contact UCAS and ask for their advice - 0371 468 0 468
And it's for exactly this reason that uni's shouldn't give clearing offers to people that aren't actually in clearing.
