Masters at Durham or Birmingham?
High guys, I’m wondering if I could get some insight into my situation currently.
I have been accepted into the Universities of Durham and Birmingham to do my masters in Data Science (Bioinformatics and Biological Modelling) and Bioinformatics respectively. At Birmingham I have also been offered a £10,000 grant and would have no fees to pay as I’d live at home and the governments postgraduate loan will cover tuition fees. However for Durham, I would have to defer a year to work and save around £12,000 for rent, food etc.
Is Durham prestigious enough to wait this extra year, or should I accept Birminghams offer?
