Do you need to have work experience to be able to do accounting and finance at uni?

Hello, I am currently an A-level student studying Economics, Psychology and Biology at sixth form. Originally my plan was to do education at university, however prospect over that has changed and I'm more interested in doing something mathemati al, though what I'de like to know is how much or how relevant is work experience for this specific course. As of now, I am very much so interested in doing accounting and finance at Queen Mary University of London but my work experience in that field is very limited. Aside from doing spring pod virtual work experience/ internship working in modules and understanding the field of finance at Specsavers and accounting at BDO I don't have much to offer. I am currently doing an EPQ around this topic (tax laws, economics maths modules), reading news and articles (The Economist) and I've gone to different university workshops about economics as well as speeches. Though I'm not sure if that's enough. Also if this is relevant my extra-curricular include volunteering with children, teaching Mandarin, working as Cashier/server, debate, student union, Interviewing MP's like Jeremy Corbyn to talk about the current economy and Wellfare, tutoring and starting online businesses on websites like vinted. My predictions are currently AAB but if I work hard enough I'm able to boost that to an AAA. What are my chances of getting in? Is there currently any work experience available for me to do? How can I improve my chances?

By the way, I achieved an 7 for maths at GCSE as well as won Bronze award for the UKMT maths challenge in secondary if that helps fill the missing gap at A- levels for not doing maths.

No, you dont need any work-experience to apply for A&F.
Its an academic degree - they want to know why you want to spend 3 years+ doing this subject and only this subject. Yes, you can use Springpod and your EPQ to show this.

PS. Choose degrees with a placement - this will give you context for your degree studies, and give you an important head start in getting your first graduate job.
