38/45 with 4 HLs: can I apply to UCL biomed?

I want to study biomed, and I'm thinking of UCL for now. I'm M24 taking a gap year, and I'm planning to start university in fall 2025.

Current grades are: HL - bio 7, chem 6, geo 6, math aa 4; SL - eng a l&l 6, lang b 6; core -3; so in total 38/45.

The entry requirements stated no HL score below 5. Since I took 4 HLs, I've heard they only take into account the top 3? In this case, I've still met the entry requirements right? Retake in M25 would be too late, and due to personal reasons I can't retake in N24.

And how competitive is UCL biomed? Do I have a decent chance? Should I bother applying? My counselor is on holiday right now.

You meet the course requirement with 38 points, and HL 18 points.

You should apply or you will forever not know if you could have made it.

UCL BioMed is competitive but perhaps not as competitive as some of its other courses. Admission Report states the acceptance rate is 28%.

Good luck!

Its worth emailing the Uni and asking them - they may just ignore your 4th HL.
